Karl Baraks – Clinical Director / Principle Physiotherapist
MSc, BSc Hons, MCSP, HCPC, MACP, AACP
Karl has over 10 years of clinical experience. He qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Coventry University. He then went on to complete a Masters level degree in Advanced (Neuromusculoskeletal) Physiotherapy where he completed research in persistent low back pain. He now acts as a clinical specialist/extended scope practitioner across the West Midlands and consults on spinal condition pathways across Birmingham.
Karl has a vast range of experience treating all neuromusculoskeltal conditions of both the upper and lower limb including sports injuries but has particular interest in back pain. He has completed extensive training in ‘Cognitive Functional Therapy’ (CFT), a person centered, body/mind approach to understanding and managing complex pain disorders (for more information on CFT go to www.pain-ed.com)
He is a member of the MACP, the Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists; a group of Chartered Physiotherapists recognised for their enhanced skills in neuromuscular physiotherapy. Karl is also a member of the Member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, the largest professional body for physiotherapists who are practicing medical acupuncture in the UK.
Karl has experience in the interpretation of scans and other diagnostic tests and over the years we have established close links with orthopaedic and neuro-surgeons, rheumatologists and pain specialists. Therefore if your problem requires it he can advise on referrals to an appropriate specialist.
Victoria Hollins-Baker– Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist / Practice Manager

Having completed a BSc in Sports Science in 2005, Victoria embarked on a career in physiotherapy. She graduated in Physiotherapy from The University of East London in 2008 becoming a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy as well as gaining registration with The Health and Care Professions Council.
Since qualifying Victoria has gained experience working as a senior clinician within the NHS as well as private practice assessing and treating all musculoskeletal conditions. Victoria has completed a wide range of postgraduate training and has excellent assessment and treatment skills in the field of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic therapy, and as such is in regular contact with patients referred by GP’s and consultants alike.
Victoria has a specialist interest and experience in treating woman with pregnancy related musculoskeletal problems and women with pelvic girdle pain. She has completed specialist training to become a FitBack and Bumps Instructor. This is a specialised class, which combines her knowledge, and expertise as a physiotherapist with exercises to help antenatal and postnatal women to exercise effectively, have fun and keep fit whilst avoiding pregnancy related problems.
